Dearest SnowFolf. I am 10 months late reading this blog from last year but more importantly, I'm 2 months early for contemplating your words for this years festive season. I can empathise with your situation. Such phone calls with the most unwelcome news can change every fibre of your being in body, mind and soul. In 2001 I was called to the hospital after a road traffic accident. It was my Dad. He was taking the family dog out for a walk. Our dog saw the oncoming danger and tried to dash out of the road but in doing so, the lead got wrapped around my dads legs and he fell over on the road. There was nothing that could be done. I'll never forget the time. It was five past midnight on December 25th and I was three weeks into my adulthood. Also. This New Year's Eve, it will be five years since the passing of my Mum who was diagnosed with cancer which was quite an agressive type. These situations took me to all kinds of low points in life but I was lucky enough to recieve an occasional call with a friend wanting a quick chat or a random text from a workmate who thought of me quite unexpectedly and decided to reach out. These small little acts really can pull someone back from doing irreversible actions and I thank you all for the small gestures you do in your lives that can rescue someone like me. I avail myself 24/7 in hopes that I can be there if/when someone is in such a need.Dearest SnowFolf.
